"Gretrell is the staff coordinator of PPM's Prevention Program. A professional guitarist, Gretrell gave up a lucrative music career traveling around the country with several well known artists such as Whitney Houston. His calling and heart now centers around youth. This humble man, with a depth of character, is a role model for the at-risk students he works with in schools and probation offices in Tennessee and Georgia." This was written in a newsletter about "Trell" (as those at the office call him) in 1995 and it still holds true today some 20 yrs later.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:14,15
There are so many worthy ministries in our community. I have attended several mission conferences this fall and have been impressed with the love and dedication shown by many diverse ministries. We are very fortunate at Prison Prevention Ministries to have so many faithful volunteers and a small, but highly dedicated staff.
As Melissa shared in her article, God put Italy on their hearts several years ago. After years of prayer the door has been open for them to go as missionaries. We have grown to love Melissa and Steven. God has planted this seed in their hearts over the years and now it is getting ready to bud and bear fruit, how exciting! I have felt all along if God is in this He will work out the details and it has been neat to see His hand on their lives...and ours! God speed, and grace as you go and serve.
We are in the process of interviewing and filling this position. I ask you join us in prayer that God will reveal His plan to us in a clear and concise way. In the last newsletter, I ask for you to consider a gift to Prison Prevention Ministries, many of you responded, thank-you. However , we do have critical financial needs this fall and I am asking again that you make this a matter of daily prayer. We rejoice knowing that over the years God has heard and continues to provide. His timing is perfect.
